West Fairmount Hill Community Group is a Place to Practice Participation and Partnership

We look forward to connecting and building with you!

West Fairmount Hill Community Group is a group of residents and partners who want to build a better, safer, more cohesive, and connected community. We focus on getting connected, encouraging participation, and promoting advocacy. We meet regularly (6-7 times per year – every other month) and participate in events, special projects, and community causes (March – June – November).

Our History

  • 1996

    Faraday Street Citizens Group: Focus on community and getting connected – Backyard Meeting, Summer Cookouts, National Night Out Ice Cream Giveaway. Created and implemented the first ever Fall Neighborhood Yard Sale, Christmas Party, and Community Awards.

  • 2005

    Wakefield Washington Citizen’s Group: Focus on community and giving back – added Flashlight Walks, Food Pantry Donations, and Hurricane Relief Fundraisers. Became instrumental in shaping the Stop and Shop / Truman Plaza Renovations, advocating for safety practices, location design, and community outreach.

  • 2019

    West Fairmount Hill Community Group: Focus on getting connected, encouraging participation, and promoting advocacy. Fostering an engaged community with shared values.
